Hello Community!'

Hello all. For those of you who don't know me very well. My name is Antoinette, and I'm a Christian, a disabled veteran, a suburban farmsteader and a homeschooler! Whew, I get tired just looking at the list but these are my passions and I wouldn't trade these parts of my life for anything. I've been enamored with farming since 2001, but brought my first farm Greatful Acres in 2019. It's my assignment to inspire more and more people to stop farming grass and start farming food. Food that does what God intended food to do. After Grateful Acres becomes productive enough, with the help of volunteers and resident assistants, then the addition of another farm in another south suburb of Chicago is the goal.

What is productive? Well i envision my neighbors being able to walk to the source of their salads, onions, garlic, greens, herbs, eggs, chicken, fish, honey, goat milk, fruit and flowers. Also I want to be a neighborhood composting center and recycling drop off center via packagefreeshop.com.

If you're interested in seeing the farm this season we are excited to welcome you as a volunteer worker on Volunteer Tuesdays or a customer on our Thursday or Saturday Farmstand. Reach out before coming by because resources are limited for the time being but pray for us.

Below is a like minded soul and her small homestead.
